Geoffrey Morton, LMHC, LCPC, NCC

He/His

When life feels demanding, success feels heavy, or questions about meaning and direction begin to surface, Geoffrey offers a grounded, relational space to slow down and reconnect with what truly matters. He brings warmth, curiosity, and thoughtful presence to his work, helping clients feel genuinely understood as they navigate stress, uncertainty, and personal growth. Geoffrey believes that meaningful change happens through authentic human connection and collaborative exploration.

Training & Background:

● Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC – Massachusetts)

● Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC – Maryland)

● National Certified Counselor (NCC)

● Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

● Experience providing short- and long-term outpatient therapy in both in-person and telehealth settings

Specialty Areas:

● Individual therapy for young adults and professionals

● Military members, first responders, and government professionals

● Anxiety, depression, and chronic stress

● Impostor syndrome, burnout, and work–life balance

● Life transitions, identity exploration, and existential concerns

Geoffrey is especially passionate about working with driven, service-oriented individuals who are motivated to grow but may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to balance achievement with fulfillment. Many of his clients are navigating high expectations, leadership roles, or careers centered on responsibility and service, while quietly struggling with self-doubt, emotional exhaustion, or questions about purpose and identity.

At the heart of Geoffrey’s work is an existential and values-based approach. He supports clients in exploring questions such as “Who am I beyond my role or achievements?”, “What gives my life meaning?”, and “How do I live in alignment with my values rather than external pressure?” Therapy with Geoffrey focuses on clarifying goals, strengthening self-worth, and gently challenging the beliefs and thought patterns that limit growth and fulfillment.

Therapeutic Approach:

● Existential and values-based therapy focused on meaning and purpose

● Strengths-based and collaborative treatment planning

● Cognitive and reflective approaches to challenge unhelpful beliefs

● Emphasis on identity development, values clarification, and self-compassion

● Relational therapy grounded in trust, curiosity, and authentic connection

Geoffrey views therapy as a shared process built on mutual respect and openness. He creates a supportive environment where clients can reflect deeply, gain insight, and develop practical tools for navigating both internal struggles and external demands. His goal is to help clients build lives that feel intentional, grounded, and sustainable—while honoring their ambition, responsibilities, and desire to contribute.

Available via telehealth and in person, Geoffrey offers flexible care that meets clients where they are. He is licensed in Massachusetts and Maryland and welcomes individuals seeking thoughtful, relational therapy that supports both personal well-being and meaningful living.
