A Letter From Our Founder
Our Story of Redefining Exceptional Mental Health Care—for Clients and Clinicians
I founded Health Psychology Associates with a clear purpose: to redefine what exceptional mental health care looks like—for both clients and clinicians. My mission was to create a practice where clients receive outstanding care and therapists feel truly supported.
Throughout my years as a clinician, I witnessed a troubling pattern: talented, passionate therapists leaving the field without the support, resources, or community they needed to thrive. The result? Burnout, disconnection, and far too many missed opportunities to offer exceptional care to our beloved Boston community. I believed there had to be a better way—because both therapists and the clients we serve deserve more.
At HPA, we’ve created something intentionally different. Our approach is rooted in clinical excellence and evidence-based innovation, but equally in human connection and a shared belief in transformation. We serve individuals who strive for growth, balance, and high performance in all areas of life, and we meet that with care that’s grounded, intentional, and deeply committed to optimal well-being.
We also care deeply for our clinicians. We’ve built a culture that values collaboration, meaningful professional development, and the well-being of our team—because we know that when therapists are supported, clients receive the very best of what therapy can offer.
Our logo, a modern interpretation of the ancient ouroboros—the snake eating its tail—symbolizes our belief in the power of transformation, renewal, and the interconnectedness of healing. It reflects what we believe therapy offers: the chance to return to yourself—stronger, more grounded, and more aligned with your purpose.
Whether you’re here seeking therapy that supports your growth and well-being, or you're a clinician looking for a place where your passion is honored and your impact magnified, I invite you to experience the care, commitment, and connection that live at the heart of HPA. We are a community led by purpose—and the unwavering belief that meaningful change is always possible.
Warmly,
Dr. Laura Greve
